  • BCS Pinball Colour changing #44 LED for Palantir from BC's Pinball. For the Palantir Insert to colour change, get the #555 one too. Both are $3.50 ea. (Feb 2010)

  • PoTD Deflector Add-On $13.00    Note: Does not solve the PoTD ?ball drop problem? !! May be available from Bay Area Amusements (BAA) as GS-LOTR99
This bit of plastic (by David Eisner) protects the left side of the cab. It can "even out" use of lanes 1 and2 better, which I think is needed - before this plastic would usually get lane 2 only.

  •  Stern LOTR 803-5000-80 original butyrate plastic set. Got one from BAA for $79 in late 2009, before the LE came out, may be available from a Stern Distributor but you could pay$100 more.
Notes: Original set, so has the holes drilled for figure mounting. Mine had trees on the "Arwen plastic".     :(

  • At the time of writing (Feb 2010), both appear out of stock at BAA. You may need to call and ask Rick if they will return, or seek them from a Stern Distributor.

  • BAA has the RP-LOTR2 Gimli Protector for $25. Cliffy does a 2 Piece set (Gimli Kickout & Orthanc Tower VUK) for $50.00
So buy these from him at directly at "$25 each (or $40 for both) shipped in the US". There is a link to order them on the page
  • Cool LOTR stuff at Pinball Life
      • Stern Shaker Motor Kit (Rev B) $165 (wiring harness exists in the LE game).
      • Sword Ramp Ball Lock Guide $6.95 (yup, the original one)
      • Backbox Eye Flasher (paid around $22.50)

  • Direct link to my Real Stern Knocker.

  • Pinbits plastic protectors and mounting set for LE. The mounting set is excellent value.

  • Parts4Pinballs (P4P) is an excellent pinball supplier based in Norway. They are a reliable source of some hard to find parts and plastics. Here's a list of LOTR parts. Some LOTR figures are listed, although they are becoming harder to get. Their website can change currency between EUR, GBP, USD. Pleasant people to do business with.

  • PinballPal Backbox warming filter. Warm.  Let me start by saying the products are first rate.  Stealth Protectors, Backbox Warming filter...   after that good comment, here is a bit of a moan about PinballPal:  They do have nice products, but found the customer service to be poor. Ordered the stealth protectors and the backbox warming filter at the end of Feb.  Did have an email right away saying everything was OK with the order. I know it takes time for stuff to be shipped out.  After waiting a few weeks I emailed asking if the order was sent out. I got no reply to two emails. Nothing. Nada. Zip. As of 20th March I got the warming filter. On the 23rd March I had the complete order, as the "Stealth Protectors" for cabinet and playfield arrived. The order was sent out 17th March, the date of my second chasing email and more than 2 weeks after the order. YMMV for shipments in the USA.  Maybe they were out of stock of something, but just need to say so up front !
